The nutrient film technique hydroponic systems are some of the most productive available and are often the chosen method of commercial growing. In this system, plant roots are grown in a tube with a continuously flowing trickle of nutrient solution. The limited amount of trickling solution allows for adequate air to reach the plant roots.
